One that I could stomp up and down on as the fancy took me.
Wear big shoes, the top of that tower is spiky you know.
I’m saving that for when that seagull annoys me.
Spike the seagull.. I like it!
Seagull on a stick, to serve as a warning to all other seagulls who think it’s amusing to bash their heads against my window when I’m trying to watch Doctor Who.

Tilt – shift always produces some interesting effects. Must try it myself sometime. Nice set of shots 🙂

I hope I can learn that tilt and shift effect. It’s interesting how the effect can make look things as if they are toys. 🙂
It really isn’t difficult to apply. My camera has a tilt and shift setting that I can adjust until I am happy with it, photoshop 6 also allows you to easily apply tilt and shift, or you can blur the top and bottom of the photograph using a Gaussian blur until you are happy with how it looks. It is good fun to play with on the right shots. Photographs looking down on a scene work well with this effect. I hope you get a good result. :–)

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I have a terrible fear of heights and didn’t think I would be able to do it, but once you are up there the view is so amazing you forget. It does feel very safe up there as well. I shall be going to the Tower again for sure. 🙂

It is good fun Cheryl, and really easy to do. Works great on lots of different shots, boats on the water, city scenes, anything looking down is great for it. Cannot wait to see your work. 🙂

Love these images. What kind of lens is it?
This was zoom lens Bella, It wasn’t mine at this point I borrowed it from my friend. I think just a standard macro/zoom though and I have to be honest, mine which I got on ebay for under a hundred quid has given me just as good results. x
But you did so much more with it. A zoom? How ever did you get this toy type effect?
Honestly it just about applying the blur to the top and bottom of the photograph, it really is that simple. xx

I agree with another reader – the shot of the child’s feet on the glass floor looks quite eerie, as if the kid is dangling and about to fall to his death. I like unexpected shots that make me look more closely…
